I want to tell you about the ten short days of military training I went through as a freshman. It was very hard and rigorous. We had to get up at 5 o'clock in the morning and spend eight hours or more every day in the training field. In the beginning, we found it interesting, but after a short time we got tired of it. The hot sun made us drip with sweat all over and long hours marching made our legs ache. Though we were tired and thirsty, we had to go on with training. We had to obey strict rules. When the whistle blew, we had to get into our places within two minutes. If you were late, you would be punished and made to stand for hours. We also had to wait in line and sing songs before entering the dining-hall. However, I learned a lot from this training, for example perseverance, being ready to help others and conforming to the right rules. I really feel grateful to my instructor.
